Greece, put your shoes on.

Quote of the day call, as a Préambule.
"Hello seeker! Now don't feel alone here in the New Age, because there's a seeker born every minute". Firesign Theater

Sometime, I think (apple) - that the Western economy will collapse and we'll be bartered to the Chinese as slaves to pay off our debts, and I am anxious that  earth will all collapse onto itself and disappear in a nano second.I breathe again.
Then I look at my sandal, and sink into the depth of the ancient Greek myths,
those were, the gods and goddesses had their sandals made on
by a gifted sandal maker who enriched each pair with magical powers. Famous for having made the flying sandals for Hermes, the sandal maker also embellished them with his personal signature... a ‘golden wing’ buckle.
My sandals are in beautiful natural leather that ages beautifully with time and wear. they come from France and  I go there at the end of the month. I know the shortcut to  La Botte G   like my pocket  and i will have a glimpse at  and also see what they have in stock.. we will see- for the moment i imagine.
Images some time will c
Time to snoze
Good luck and  Good night!

French Culture sans confiture,

French version followed by english version.

Once upon a time in Carmargue...

                                              ///English version///

Camargue is an area in the south of France, just at the border of the Mediterranean Sea , where there is the estuary of a very large river called the Rhone . So there is much water everywhere, and wild bulls are brought up there, looked after by cowboys called guardians who ride horses.  They carry tridents to push the bulls.
There is a cross called Cross of Camargue or Cross of the Gardians.
This cross was designed in 1924 by a painter who also was a sculptor. He united the symbols of the gardians and of the fishers, both important jobs in the area.
The cross of Camargue joins 3 symbols :

-          the cross symbolizing faith
-          the heart symbolizing love and charity
-          the anchor symbolizing hope.
The first time this cross was erected on a monument was in 1930 in a little village of Camargue. Now there are many crosses used in jewellery. You may not find such a cross outside the south of France, but in all genuine house of Camargue.

Yet this cross perfectly symbolizes a verse of the Bible, written by St Paul :These three remain ; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13.13
Do you know why the anchor symbolizes hope? Not because fishers and boatmen use it, but because the Bible says that hope is an anchor for the soul. When life is rough like the sea, we clutch at hope till peace and quietness come back.

Telle est ma devise.

I recently re-dicovered the joy of internet shopping with Amazon.
and cheers me up with.6 books in 10days,
Its fantastic. I am totally amaze by this temple of books.

I start to become a bookaholic, reading 3 in the same time, spending hours choosing them.
Here is just a extract of one that I received yesterday I picked up randomly:
the page 235 and I read out.

"Power is a privilege, not a right.
You have to use it in the services of others-
or lose it.
You have to have the interests of the institution of heart,
not you own celebrity or ambition.
Power demand integrity.
The role of power is to have the courage to decide - to influence -
and then to take responsability for the consequences"
Anne Mulcahy

I wanted to share it with you.

Recent work

I was recently in charge of Michiko Koshino footwear range for her Catwalk Show - Designer Michiko Koshino and stylist Chris Baker present the SS12 Michiko Koshino Studio 74 collection last Friday 12th of August , in Ibiza.
Michiko Koshino is an Osaka, Japan born fashion designer. One of three famous designers in the Koshino family, Michiko’s siblings include Hiroko Koshino and Junko Koshino
If you want to know more about her, there is a link here
In her design we can see Japaneses influences in the cutting – like origami. It’s kaftans and kimonos, things you can’t really wear around the streets of London – completely different to urban wear. The shoes are meant to walk on yatchts and white sand beaches.
Every single piece is different because it’s all hand made and hand printed. A lot of it is made using just one square of fabric, whether silk or muslin, and you can wear it and wrap it many ways. There are strings so you can ruche it, play with it and detachable silk scarves that can be buttoned on and off. "Its so versatile, and perfect for Ibiza where everything here is like a show – people dress up to go everywhere, not just the clubs, but to the beach as well. They love all the lights, the atmosphere – it’s electric".
Michiko Designer and Chris, Artistic Director
